Neil Ellis, MD
Dr. Neil Ellis is double board-certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Based at our Tampa – Habana Avenue location, he is an expert in all pain conditions.
He has enthusiastically embraced forward-thinking treatments for pain and injury, including regenerative medicine. This includes stem cell therapy, platelet rich plasma (PRP), Juvenate injections and bone marrow concentrate (BMC).
A native of Toronto, Dr. Ellis earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his residency and fellowship in anesthesia and interventional pain medicine at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.
Dr. Ellis also has a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine, but later chose interventional pain management as his specialty. He continues to seek the best ways to treat pain conditions, drawing on a variety of disciplines. He has participated in global research in new spinal pain treatments. He was the lead investigator in one worldwide study bringing new treatments to patients with herniated discs.
He was also the first investigator to treat humans with an intradiscal anti-inflammatory medication. “I am happy to offer even more cutting edge options to patients,” he says.
